On Canadian exchanges, the aggregate short sales (total short sales outstanding) are recorded twice a month.
Your post was on September 8th. That means that your "short sale" would be captured between August 31 and September 15th.
Below is the results of the short sales for this period.

As you can see, the total outstanding is 42,221.

- You did not short ALY
- You shorted ALY to a maximum of 42,221 shares
- You shorted but then covered before September 15th (at a loss)
Anyway... glad to see that you did not post your actual activities on a public forum. I worry about people who do that.
