GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS
Thank you, Garland. To be quite frank, the assay results are great – super thick intervals of good grade! Gosselin and Cote will merge into one huge open pit mine operation in one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world, with a potential ore body of 10 million ounces of gold …
The bad news is that we are dealing with a bunch of buffoons that run the company. These so called mining executives well past their productive years and are ill-equipped to take IAMGOLD to the next level. My greatest hope is for a larger mining company that is familiar with the Abitibi gold belt and is seeking to replenish their depleting ore reserves would make an offer to buyout the company.
My number one choice has always been Agnico Eagle Mines with their dynamic leader and visionary mining executive, Sean Boyd, at the helm!! One of Agnico Eagle’s major objectives is to focus on increase gold production in lower –risk jurisdictions. They could sell off the African operations and concentrate on the Canadian operations. Sean Boyd what are you waiting for? “Your ideal fit in right in your back-yard, IAMGOLD”.
