Credibility.

Analysts don't like surprises. They tend get angry and will sell the offending stock triggering a bear raid that make Tuesday's drop seem like a hiccup. No good can come hiding or delaying bad news.

Don't expect share price stability after dropping a earnings bomb on shareholders.
