Separate process and no reciprocity with HC, but the HC approval and all the testing done to achieve it can only help move along the FDA prodess (the work has been done, now a case of FDA verirying what HC has already concluded from this info.)
Given that US has per capitat infection and death rates10 times that of Canada, it could certainly use all the help it can get in battling this virus.)
Inthe meantime, GF also said there are many countries that do recognize HC approval, which means their markets are avaiable.
But for remembr, GF also stated that interest and demand from health care sector and other institutions is "significant, significant" (both words were used wuth great emphasis. ZGS and Trebor are going to be busy enohygh for thhen next three, months ramping up to meet this demand and develiope cinte base and relatuonship trust. And that is without gloves and other PPE. And HVAC filters, which GF also seemed very up beat on.
It will be intesting to see what demaind does eventualy cme from US and other global markets, and how ZGS responds. It (and Trebor?) may need other partners in other countries to produce the masks under licence. GF was coy on this subject, but certainly did not rule this out.
