Big money is made in the exploration phraseBeen away for a couple of days enjoying the great outdoors looking for mushrooms. Found some nice gypsies which is another choice edible that rivals the boletes. It's a rainy day in the Gander area so I'm catching up reading all the recent great posts. This board is by far one of the better ones I've had the pleasure of being associated with. Thanks to everyone for the great information and remaining on subject.
I believe that the big money, as with all exploration companies, is made during the exploration phrase. Those who bought NFG for $1.50 August 2020 and sold at the yearly high of $13.50 have already enjoyed a huge return. No one knows what the eventual buy out will be or when. If Queensway turns out anything like Voisey's Bay the reward will be many times the current share price. I began following the Voisey's Bay story when Diamond Fields was $4.00 a share. In the end it sold for the equivalent of $172.00 a share. And the buy out came rather quickly. It did not take 10 years to happen and I don't think NFG will either. As to the nature of the buy out, whether it will be all of Queensway or individual packages, only time will tell. My feeling is that it will be sold in packages and there will be many packages over the years as drilling discovers more rich zones.
So the game plan is to make money during the exploration phrase. A mine is something I do not spend time thinking about. Dividends of mining companies are not all that great anyway. Banks, telecoms and utilities all pay a larger dividend rate. Our own Newfoundland based Fortis pays about a 5% rate. If I'm fortunate and get a huge return from my investment in NFG it will go into a bank, utility or telecom.
