That usually heavy trading the previous two sessions caught my attention also.  Almost all the trades appeared programmed,  and had anonymous listed at both ends rather than name a specific broker.  My experience is that anonymous is usually a hedge fund and certainly smart money.  It is people who don't want to tip their hand on what they are up to.
