RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:COX in Vegas going wireless You really do amaze me. You've been fed a line of BS for 9 years and even then will still take the company side on any and every point. The degree to which you have a closed mind is staggering.
Anyway, here is your answer. I'm dying to see your response. No doubt it will be some sort of insult or deflection. In case you're wondering it comes directly from a company PR.
"Additional enhancements to our software enables improved management and control of Edgewater’s proprietary MESHD™ (Mesh High Density) technology only capable with a multi-channel WiFI3-powered access point. MESHD enables network operators to designate channels specifically for Point2Point applications WITHOUT significant performance drops for devices connected to the network. MESHD enables the first truly mesh network for WiFi and IOT networks, only available with WiFi3."
Please note the words "proprietary" and the phrase "only capable with a multi-channel wifi3 powered access point". Also note it uses one of the three channels to run the mesh. Something a single channel router can't do. Also note that this isn't what the mesh systems of the day are built to do, run point to point applications. They are built to extend coverage. Yfi has no mesh extender product and no one is using two Yfi routers to do so in a home setting.
Frankly I have no idea what your point even was. Who cares whether Yfi's mesh can run on other boxes. I sure hope this answers your question. And thanks for coming out. Maybe next time do some actual research before you start writing.
