Us versus Them--------YFI versus the WiFi WorldIt is interesting that in all arguments brought forth here I have noticed that the existing industry has always been given a free ride. In fact, they have always been awarded a complete benefit of the doubt over their wifi technologies, management business practices, legal,or questionable, and attention to serving the interests of the consumer etc. etc. This is big, big business and with its power and money it has long been enabled to transcend the boundaries of free enterprise upon intent. Sometimes they are taken to task, other times not. I told many here where to look a number of times to find factual evidence of this, but there was zero interest. I am not surprised. The US Department of Justice is a good place to start.
Hence, the irony is that history might show that the headwinds faced by YFI may have been little about superior technology, and more about what reflected the best interest of others. The noted reason that YFI was invited to attend UpRamp was to find wifi solutions to problems voiced by the end user and forwarded to the networks. YFI claimed they could solve them and we never have officially been told by any authoritive body that their claims were false. Actually, if one was to accept only 20% of the recent POC as being true, and furthermore accepting the argument that this is the same tech today as what we used with Cablelabs, we could have blasted WiFi5 out of the park at the time. But if we take the remaining 80% and add to it further improvements YFI alluded to, and not including Dual Channel WiFi, a possible Aera9, and Aera12, there is a lot to further question about why this tech was not embraced some tiome ago.
Some of these subjects are what should be discussed, and I would expect the input from nonshareholders especially to be exceedingly balanced, impartial, and objective. So far, not surprisingly, I have yet to see any evidence of it. The "why" is for you to determine.
Thus, I judge some few people by not what they say, but what they are not disclosing
