The only hope left....

The only hope left....For upset, disappointed & disenfranchised KL s/h is a tweeking in the ratio that's being offered by Agnico. In other words, a small bump up in the offer by Agnico to ensure this passes at voting booth and everyone's more or less happy with the outcome. Contrary to most of the opinions expressed on this board or criticism of my previous comments here or just an overall dissatisfaction with this deal, this merger will go through. There will be no White Knight to save the day, there will not be a competing or better offer from someone else and this deal will not get voted down by those that matter. If you guys & gals have still not understood this simple fact, then you will never fully understand HOW this industry and M&A truly work.

At best, Agnico mgmt increase their offer by a small margin to appease & facilitate it's passing maybe in a few weeks.......but aside from that, as Porky Pig use to say  "That's all folks!". As i don't exactly know what margins are required here for the deal to pass (could 50% or as much as 2/3 not sure), those people or investors that mattered to get this through were taken care of months ago. Folks here complaining there was no premium or it's a lowball offer don't understand that the premium was ALREADY built into it from $40.......so about 30% to those that are crucial to get this deal through. NOT the retail holder. In addition, didn't you folks notice that Kirkland was one of the very few if not the only one who didn't get it's share price hammered during this slump in the sector? It held up pretty well for very obvious reasons now.

So there's your premium folks, don't expect anyone else to come along with a better offer because it will not happen. For those of you that are still steaming & not satisfied with what's being offered, you have to choices before you. Continue holding the shares unitl the deal is consummated and exchange them for Agnico paper (which BTW is a decent company in it's own right!) OR SELL and move on. Anything else is pure fantasy and just a waste of time, energy and inviting problems & headaches you probably don't need.

I hope this little commentary has helped some of you and has clarified some points for some that are to mad or stubborn to clearly see.

Good luck & God speed
