Expanding its services beyond helium, the company will now provide geologic, land, well planning, drilling and completion for the purpose of developing bedded and domal salt cavern energy storage in Arizona and the Southwest.
Salt caverns have been identified as unique geographical features that can be mined to provide safe, reliable and economical bulk gas storage.
Expanding the use of salt caverns for hydrogen energy storage across the US offers a significant opportunity to create an infrastructure for clean energy resources throughout the nation.
Robert Rohlfing, CEO of Desert Mountain Energy, said, “Desert Mountain Energy is pleased to announce the joint venture with Earl Resources and the opportunity to participate in their energy storage busines.”
“The expansion of the Desert Mountain Energy team has provided the resources to contribute to the joint venture and participate in its future success. Our treasury is committed to our plan of becoming a vertically integrated helium producer with the discovery of the McCauley Field and our decision to put it into production in 2022.”
“Desert Mountain Energy intends to produce, process and sell finished processed helium directly to domestic helium consumers in the US.”
