RE:RE:Curious situation Motorola has signed two different licensing agreements in the last 10 years. Additionally, there hasn't been a single instance of a stay being requested and a deal falling through. That would be very low probability.
But, in classic QTRH fashion the price of the stock assumes the deal has already fallen through. So if the deal is announced the stock should pop significantly, especially if followed up with preview of Q3 earnings. This should be a 3.50 stock just with ITS and cash from this settlement. And WiLan will still be worth 0. And will be priced for 0% chance of CAFC confirmation of Apple win even though two separate juries ruled in our favour. The amazing thing about this case is Apple sued WiLan as a DJ in their home court of SDCAL and they still lost big. Even the judge made it hard on WiLan and they had to beat Apple twice.
If the deal was signed after close and before midnight it will still be in Q3.
As I previously said, if this takes longer to sign it means that Apple and Qualcomm are likely in the mix and we could have our blastoff moment.
If not, bring your popcorn to the CAFC hearing for next Friday. That is one you don't want to miss.
