It may be that I haven't got all the details quite right. That said, one second can be the difference between a deal in principle and no deal at all.

Let me ask you? Do you think Motorola (or Apple, for that matter) can be relied upon to be so honourable that they wouldn't jerk the IP holder around by "agreeing" to a "deal in principle" and then finding some reason to walk, all as a way of delaying even more than they have already?
