Seven plus years, failing badly, buying back shares, Knight himself having to step down, a couple of Mgm't buying a few hundred shares......some people invested $10....and now falling back to apppeox $5...?
This is the Great success of GUD! Wow.
Sorry, but most of what you said is to be contested.
- seven years is correct
- they're not failing (this is to plan ... as it once was ... as it will be).
- the company is responsible to the board and the board needs to set the strategic direction (you don't make a failed CEO a Chairman - in fact, nothing really changes but the titles ... and Goodman will also do other things like networking ... less worrrying ... so he lives longer)
- company is strong ... same as before ... just at a differenet geographic scale now.
This is a company you either love or you hate - just the way it is.
Keep in mind ...
34% of the company seems to be with three people
25 people own under 50% of the company ... and ...
270 people control 70% of the shares.
I'm guessing that 400-500 own about 80-85% of the business.
That means about 20M shares are free-floating around this price. Eventually demand out-strips supply but no one can guess when that happens. Took a long time the first time.
