Question

QuestionAn interesting question is the degree to which it will help in the upcoming Apple hearing that they've just settled with Motorola.

I suppose, technically, it shouldn't matter at all. Either the patent is on point--on pure logic--or it isn't. On the other hand, it will surely sound good in court when the judges are told that Motorola has recently settled. No getting away from the fact that the matter will be determined by human beings.

If I have my history right, this resembles the 2013 heartbreak, where everyone but Apple had settled, Apple fought anyways and won a result that could have gone either way.

Is my history more or less right? Cabbie or others?

Regardless, I'm sure the ghost of that case will be present in the courtroom on Friday.
