RE:RE:stock priceRe shares short:
The link someone provided over at ceo.ca which shows that over the last few days almost all shares sold have been shorts, only shows shares traded on the US market:
https://www.otcshortreport.com/company/GGGOF The volume on the TSX has been higher, and it seems there hasn't been much shorting there:
https://www.ortex.com/symbol/TSXV/GG/short_interest I don't know how accurate or trustworthy any of those sites are, but to me it seems irrational that someone would short heavily on current prices. Unless they know something big that we don't, that is. Barring some really bad news (like nationalization of Galaxy), they should have trouble covering at below 10 cents (CAD), which is where most of the supposed shorts have taken place. (almost 3M shares on the OTC sept 28 - oct 1, according to otcshortreport). The volume on the TSX for the same period is 5.5M. Due to the unusually heavy volume, for Galane, it also seems improbable that someone is trying to push the price down in anticipation of a coming PP, as they probably wouldn't be able to get that many shares in a PP. (And I don't see a PP coming at current prices, I don't think managment is that incompetent or crooked.)
I think the most probable cause for the recent heavy selling volume, is that someone were forced to sell, either due to leverage or because they needed cash for other reasons. So I expect a rebounce when they're done. Or maybe a fund rebalancing at end of Q3, as someone said at ceo.ca.
