Ontario uses hydro, nuclear, natural gas, wind & solar. Seems to work just fine.

It wasn't too long ago there was a huge issue of skyrocketing power prices in Ontario. Has that gone away?

Well the debt was buried so we're stuck with moderately higher prices. The problem largely
stemed from the rush to convert to wind & solar and over paying for such.

There was also the fiasco of the cancelled nat gas power plant and the money wasted. Ontario is far from working "just fine". A lot of bad decisions.

Also at one point we had to pay our neighbours to take surplus power off our hands due to surplus wind power. No one said things are perfect, but we do have reliable power.
