What happened in Texas is a good example.


My overall sense of the future is that with the likely screwups by politicians and the impact of climate change and the trend towards EVs is that there will be an increasingly likelihood that there will be stresses on the grid and that companies will be looking at ways to protect themselves from insecurity of of the supply of electrical power.

From an investment point of view I have been looking at opportunities where the companies are finding solutions to this problem and investing in these companies.
 


Yep I bought into a couple of electrical energy companies a while back and they have done very well.  As you point out it is now very difficult to find companies that don't already have a rich valuation.

Perhaps sometime in the future if we a see a significant downdraft in the overall market some of these companies may get back to realistic valuations and be worth buying.
