Your memory serves you right, I am from Roatan and yes families from that little Bonacca Cay have been devastated by fires. So a lot of us already been donating food, clothes, money and offered shelters to those families. Actually, yesterday my girlfriend took a pick up truck box full of clothes, dishes and food to a dock in a small town called Oak Ridge, Roatan. So it can be shipped to people in need. We have people coming to live here in Roatan for a while. I live about an hour or so boat ride from Guanaja. I also have friends that live on the main Guanaja island but the fire was on a very small cay, where people's houses are inches from each others and it was such a nice place to visit because of this very unique way of living. I brought a lot of people over the years to visit the various Islands and Cays of the Guanaja Archipelago. I am a Canadian from Alberta living in the Bay Islands of Honduras. Sorry to posts about this but since you brought it up, i figured it was worth mentioning.
