RE:RE:RE:About to break a 6 month downtrend lineAccording to a report by the Chilean state copper commission Cochilco released today, the domestic copper production in August 2021 was 461,900 tonnes, which is 5% less than 484,100 tonnes of copper mined in August 2020.

Escondida, the world’s largest copper mine, produced 81,500 tonnes of copper in August 2021, a 14% decline compared to August 2020 (94,800 tonnes).

Collahuasi, the world’s second largest copper mine, produced 48,200 tonnes of copper in August 2021, which is 20% less compared to 60,000 tonnes of copper mined in August 2020.

Cochilco said that Codelco, the largest copper mining company worldwide, produced 144,500 tonnes of copper in August 2021, or 6.7% less compared to August 2020
