Birchcliff Energy Ltd. is a Canada-based intermediate oil and natural gas company. The Company is engaged in the exploration for and the development, production and acquisition of oil and gas reserves in Western Canada. The Company’s operations are focused on the Montney/Doig Resource Play in Alberta. Its operations are concentrated in the Peace River Arch area of Alberta. The Company has a 100% working interest in its Pouce Coupe Gas Plant and two oil batteries, as well as various working interests in numerous other gas plants, oil batteries, compressors, facilities and infrastructure. RE:RE:RE:RE:New short report Just to add to the discussion - i have observed - and the short count increase from Sept.15-30 illustrates my point - that BIR shorting might be used as a counter to other E&P long purchases. Not sure if that is correct or not - but would BIR now being in the TSE 300 again since Sept. 20 make it more of a target as a hedged short position against another long postion? Like buying SU (oil) amd shorting BIR (gas)? Positively speaking - I have seen thse sideways trading intervals with BIR before (+/-5%)... and usually I sold some stock to soon. Not making the same mistake this time - to many postive catalyts to come in the next 90-120 days: Q3 Report; Reserve Report and Q4 Reprot - plus winter NG burn stat's - all in the next 150 days. TD12
