RE:New AppealFirst, to my trader colleagues who were here recently asking me why I would suggest a legal outcome would only be known by maybe the end of Sept., when, in fact, there was a specific date given to the original court decision – Sept 17
th 2021; well, here is your answer. When a court makes a decision and twhen you, Joe Bloggs public/company are informed are two very different dates. This release I think surprised even OREA based on their last release on this court issue. There are no nice simple math formulae to working out when a legal decision is to be made public.
Then, why this 3-week delay? Because its 3 more weeks without Montagne d’Or document submission! Does anyone here still think this is about a couple of concession permits, rather than the French Gov/ Macron’s all-out effort to delay these mine reports and apps being submitted, before the April 2022 election?
Macron does not want the Montagne d’Or issue coming up before this election – period! NG and OREA know this and the French court is the ideal platform to achieve this aim. How long will a French Supreme Court evaluation and then decision now take on this concession challenge? Weeks, months?
The one good thing is that this issue may now lead to NG not bidding on OREA until after the 2022 French election and the Montagne documents are submitted. The Russians do not want to p. o. Macron (who has supported the mine in the past). Nor, to embroil FG in a potential nasty bidding war for OREA. For example, imagine Russian and Chinese gold miners battling over the FG rainforest? Talk about environmental NGO ammunition to assault Macron’s case.
So, we OREA shareholders are left to look forward to now hearing about OREA’s potential project in Suriname. Gold exploration has all but dried up in FG, while all this French politics plays out.
