The majority of Quebecers back then preferred to remain a part of Canada. Quebecois seperatism might not be entirely dead, but its definitely been dormant and has receded as a political force in the past 20 something years.
Seems like the only people talking about seperatism nowadays are the wexit idiots.

Those that want to stay in the country of Quebec can take possession of the strip of land that was initially negotiated with England and everyone can just call it a day.
