RE:RE:RE:Anyone questioning where … I think your right on point one for sure and that is underway with some 220 reportedly built, underway and planned giga type battery plants the world over and several in NA.
standardization will be a key component for interchangeable batteries as that may work for some ...serious new charging technology is being developed and could affect chemistries ....I think I read that ABB ( huge Swiss company) has developed a system to recharge to some 80% ( don't quote me) in three min. I don't know We would like the cost of that. Point is this is changing near daily with researchers on the run to develop.
Cobalt will be used in most batteries for the foreseeable future and even if reduced the exponential demand on batteries still creates a very serious and very predictable supply crunch...starting next year, Add to the situation that NA manufacturers and our own governments are clear on the CM and BM supply, ethical and geopolitical problem .of existing sources ...no source in NA can go untouched. Ramping up Ni production to extract more cobalt is not going to satisfy the demand. In NA Ford and GM have started and only just begun.
FT holding a primary cobalt deposit with a convenience store of other BM and CMs is the best target in the NA mining world, substantial, safe, secure, ethical etc etc and toboot ready to go. The great disconnect between miners and end users, be it auto manufacturers or battery manufacturers will come to a head ( oh don't forget the gold to pay for it all) ...who ever created the name "Fortune Minerals", back in the day could not possibly have seen what we see today in terms of demand that is eminent. The reality that I see today is FT is exactly what the name says ...it's all here for the world of electrification that is unfolding before our eyes. FT will not be left out it's as good as it gets all things considered...IMO stay long wait it out our day comes.
