Excited about trench and bulk samples. The price of TOC moved up into the mid $0.90 range, closing at $0.94 on 37,500 shares. TOC traded about 310,000 shares for the week, which in my opinion, is a pretty solid week of trading for a thinnly traded equity. I suspect, and hope this is a strong indication that timing is getting better for the start of the next drill program. It is already well into October and the weather is getting much better in Mexico (by the way, snow is heading to Canada soon, so Mexico is the place for resource activity into the winter).
I am excited to see results from the trench and bulk samples as this will ultimately lead to the establishment of an economical compliant 43-101 resource estimate. This is critical to the development of an open pit mine. I am extremely hopeful that the outcome will be positive since 1) other mines in the area have similar geology and assays and 2) previous metallurgy tests have been positive. I have posted below the results of preliminary tests, keep in mind, economical grades from producing mines in the area is 0.40 g/t, well below some of the grades they have been drilling during the previous 21,000 m of drilling.
quote....... "......... Tocvan Ventures Corp. has released the results of continuing metallurgical work at its flagship Pilar gold-silver project in Sonora, Mexico. Preliminary results have been received from two composite samples taken from the previously released drill hole JES-20-32. Drill hole JES-20-32 is thought to be representative of the central portion of the Main zone, which during phase I drilling in December of 2020 intersected 94.6 metres at 1.6 grams per tonne gold, including 9.2 m at 10.8 g/t Au and 38 g/t silver from 57.9 to 152.5 metres. The samples consisted of a low-grade (0.63 g/t Au) and a medium-grade (1.2 g/t Au) composite to determine the susceptibility of dissolution of gold through cyanide bottle testing. The results show after a retention time of 48 hours, maximum dissolution can be reached of 91 per cent for the low-grade composite and 92 per cent for the medium-grade composite. A summary of the results is provided in the attached table. Samples were submitted to SGS Laboratories in Durango, Mexico, for analysis........"..........
