When Gretchen realizes there aren't enough truck drivers to keep everyone in Michigan warm this winter, the pumps dry up at their local gas stations, and 1/2 the people in the GTA get their winter vacations cancelled due to a lack of jet fuel, that would certainly have a more immediate and pronounced effect than some bull$hit mediation talks.
