this is all over the news today!

Sadly ( in a way) this particular news segment makes it more about the drone technology than the complexities or miracle of the transplant operation itself or in the selection and or conditioning of the donor lung ( ie SQI diagnostics)  wherein, I would argue, much more impressive & critical technology has been applied.

I suppose the silver lining is that the delivery method made the story " newsworthy", and they say there is no such thing as bad publicity. 


For now SQI remains somewhat an unsung hero in the UHN lung transplant story. Let's hope that they do not remain so, once the miracle of highly accurate Covid home based antibody testing becomes both widely available and mainstream news.
