diabase1 wrote: Megacopper, I relooked at the NFG video Part 3, and came across a map that I found interesting. It is at 8:13/8:34. As the video plays, wait until it hits 8:13 and then freeze it there, so you can view the map. I'm not sure, but it looks like a Government map. In Queensway North, north of Gander Lake and north of the TransCanada Highway, there is a strong anomaly on both sides of the Gander River. These anomalies go north, covering LAB's ground, and continue right up to the coast. What's on the west side of the Gander River, I don't know. The east side of the river would be the Appleton Fault. This large anomaly extends south to Gander Lake and stops.
Once you cross to the south side of Gander Lake into Queensway South, there are no anomalies until you get down near Eastern Pond. I believe there is one anomaly on the Appleton Fault and 2 anomalies on the JBL Fault. I wonder which fault NFG is working on near the Eastern Pond?
Again, I'm not sure who did the survey, and whether it is a soil/till survey. It is a gold survey though. Interesting!!!

Actually I am fairly certain the Appleton Fault crosses the Gander River just a few miles north of the town of Appleton. The fault goes up through the Kingsway property and that property is mostly on the west side of the river but the southern most extent of LAB's Kingsway property joins NFG's Queensway North property on the east side of the river. The Big Dave (NFG) and the Golden Glove LAB) are just a few Kms north of Lotto on the East side of the river. The Appleton Fault then crosses the river on the Kingsway property to the west side of the river and LAB's big vein and all of that current drilling (refer to LAB's recent news release) is on the west side of the river. If it's any different someone can please set me straight but that is how I understand it.

We just had a look at that map you are referring to in the Part 3 video at around 8:15 minute and it's difficult to tell what the map is actually showing. Is it a mag map, a soil anomaly map or some other type of map? Don't know for sure. My guess it is an older soil geochem government map. Nice catch Diabase. That map only flashed up on the video for about two or three seconds. Good eye. You could email the company to get confirmation on the details of the map. The Rock Doctor used most of his old maps to light the fire in the stove so we have to rely on his onboard computer now and that has been known to short circuit sometimes. Hahaha

I still think LAB and NFLD will eventually be gobbled up by NFG perhaps in a year or two. They too have a lot of strike length covered on the Appleton Fault so you would assume the favourable geology would extend onto their properties. That is just my own opinion but if I was NFG I would want as much of that fault as possible. Just sayin.
