Michigan Water Protector Closes Line 5 Shut Off ValveAccording to a news release from the Resist Line 3 group, a "Michigan Water Protector" closed the shutoff valve on the 68-year-old Line 5 pipeline "in accordance with Gov. Whitmer's order." Duffy said the valve shutdown occurred on a Lower Peninsula segment of the pipeline, in rural Tuscola County, near Vassar:
