Two Australian companies have been making competing offers to takeover Noront Resources. We spoke with a mining columnist to find out why these companies are itching to get in on the Ring of Fire mineral deposit.

I just listened to the CBC radio interview with Stan.  One excellent point mentioned was he thought this $0.05 bid increase was simply to buy BHP more time.

Finally something actually makes CENTS to me regarding the lowball bids because when you think about how and when this bidding war began it was Wyloo whom forced Noronts hand into finding another bidder.  

Both BHP and Wyloo are most likely doing behind the scenes talks with first nations and various government contacts.   Hasn't it been very odd not to hear from either first nations or any government?  Both are still the key component to unlock the tru value of the Ring.  

This bidding war is NOT over by a long shot!
