why BB UES was not integrated into MSFT Intune UEM?

why BB UES was not integrated into MSFT Intune UEM? Anyone know what made Chen and Blackberry change their mind? I know chen said Unified Enterprise Security (UES with Cylance) would be integrated with MSFT Intune UEM so that intune customers can also have best security instead of MSFT defender.

Something happened that made Chen change his mind. The MSFT 365 and active directory update is not the same thing as the original plan. Lot of people keep saying it's the same thing don't understand what is UES and UEM.

Yasch or any other people that understand strategy and technology wanna chime in? Did MSFT not want BB UES integrated because they would lose out on back-door access built into Defender? The Defender is free and part of Intune package which is also free if you subscribe to MSFT 365 I believe. So what did MSFT have to lose? Only thing i can think of is back-door built into Defender and Intune.

Lets all get to the bottom of this....
