From the below it states Line5 transports Canadien crude from Wisconsin  (since when did Wisconsin become a Canadien province?) to Ontario. Why would they be sending Canadien crude back to Canada? Years ago I lived up north by this pipeline and always heard that it was Canadien oil coming to the states and not the other way around.

Any Canadiens in Ontario know for sure  what the story is here for sure?

"Line 5 transports 540,000 bpd of Canadian crude, as well as refined products, from Wisconsin to Ontario. "

Line 5 transports oil from western Canada thru Wisconsin and Michigan to Ontario. A lot of that oil is used in Michigan itself. Shutting it down would create significant harm in parts of Canada and in the Northern US. Enbridge has applied to build a tunnel to solve Michigan's concerns and Michigan doesn't have the legal authority to shut down the pipeline
The is another very public example of the deteriorating relationship between our countries.
