RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:CAN I ASK WHAT IS THE DIVIDEND

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:CAN I ASK WHAT IS THE DIVIDEND Every dividend paying stock can be traded around the dividend.  I don't do it because it takes more attention than I think the return is worth.

I also think there is risk in being whipsawed with the share price and it would only have to happen once to leave you outside looking in.

I think that everytime you sell your shares and buyback you reset your average buy in price on top of having to pay taxes on your total gains (including your share price increase over the quarter) in the current tax year if you are not holding your shares in a registered account.  You would of course have to pay taxes on your dividends anyway but not neccessarily on your share price increase. You are also going to have to keep track of these trades and provide records for them to your accountant at tax time where as dividends need only be tallied once per year at tax time.

If you are holding them in a registered account, you are potentially making a different kind of mistake.

No re-investing or compounding required in my price prediction.

I take the 6.3% anual yeild and add 8-9% share price growth.  Yes it is based on increased Line 3 production plus accretion of the new marine export terminal.  Mix in some organic growth in natural gas customers and inflated commodity sales (NG) with the analysts price predictions and I conservatively come out with 10-15% total return before taxes and commisions.

Not a bad buy given interest rates and GIC returns and Banks can't provide as good a yield.

Once again, you roll the dice you take your chances but this stock has a pretty safe history.

So are you compounding these divi's??  That is, re-investing the first divi for the rest of the month?...and re-investing the second divi for the second half of the year, and so on??
To come up with what is normally expressed as an annual term of 6.3%??
Just asking....late with the coffee this am>>>>

I expect the price to bump up slightly after earnings as I think they will be inline with expectations.

You could wait until after the ex-divy day dip to buy as it will probably drop less than the divy payout but it could be higher than the price today as I expect it will ramp up as we get closer to earnings.

Including the divy from here I see a 10-15% return on Enbridge from this share price easy in 2022.  Is this based on the additional flows on expanded, or upgraded L3 and increased commodity prices??

The choice is yours though.  Do your own due diligence.  GLTY

Oh yeah,  Go Enbridge! ;-)

I bought at $43.07
