RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/25/tesla-shares-up-on-news-hert Obviously Hertz is getting the jump on the future robotaxi industry. I think everyone who doesn't own an EV should rent one for a couple days just to see what it's like...can only help. Once Tesla figures out how to keep their autonomous EV from wandering across the centre line then it's really going to spell the end of the ICE.
However for the future of autonomous robotaxi, I don't think there'll be another company that will be scrutinized as much as these two in next couple years.. Everyone will be watching performance, including govt watchdogs, so this better work. Meanwhile should competition be able to keep their cars from driving off the road while Tesla can't, then might see Hertz back in bankruptcy court. Trucks are next. Maybe Penske or U-Haul will carry the torch for the rental truck industry. A lot on the line for the EV and the future introduction of autonomous vehicles
Now as long as Hertz ads doesn't have some celebrity become murderer/wife beater running through airports I think they'll do alright with Tesla. Pressure's on for Ford and their only hope is if Tesla can't solve the autonomous problem, and that won't happen since Ford shunned BB. Henry's grave showing some disturbance from below this a.m.
