A couple of decades ago investors could >>> Go to places like Indonesia (Slaveport) and countless places in A-freeka and take part (indirectly of course) in bribes and other corruption (environmental and otherwise) to get cheaper minerals out and sold.
People have not changed but the media environment has. Now even an unco-operative child soldier or a Kalahri Bushman has a portable device with a camera.
It does not take long for these things to (rightly) be outed and have now (that thing called the innnnernett) create a crowdsourced bunch of resistance. Investors may be legally shielded in many cases but they do not like the added risk of losing big investments after several years of sinking capital into long term projects.
This is the new reality. Read it, reddit and weep all you want but the world has changed (for the better.
The Pumpkin is organic, ripe, healthy and very tasty.
