RE:RE:Hertz expands Tesla deal with Uber and Carvana Furthermore to last post... According to Google, in 2020 Uber made 5bn trips worldwide. This is just Uber, couldn't find how well regular taxis did. My point is, if it's our tech in an autonomous taxi vehicle then technically we are the driver. So if Uber antes up $1 per trip to the driver why shouldn't we take a sniff at that? Man, all the more reason we need Tesla on board. Give them a piece of the action and both be happy.
BTW the average cabbie hauls in $22G/yr and there are over 47000 in USA according to Google. Let's demand a salary as the driver. Even if only 10Gs per year that's nearly $500m in just USA per year. Can't see cab companies lowering rates for driverless cars so why not get paid for being the driver. HeII, why not take it further and get paid as a salaried driver for any form of autonomous commercial electric vehicle that would have had a individual paid to drive it. Prices aren't going down and why let someone else get rich off our efforts, we deserve a cut. We are the driver for these vehicles, like it or not. Meh...they've probably already thought of this...lol
