FROM JOHN ceo.caHello Venzee Friends & Family. Many of you have asked what happened to our “Friends & Family'' updates. The honest answer is that the growth of our client base, sales team, and investor community has challenged my ability to write to you directly as often as I would like. Because feedback on this “newsletter” has been consistently positive, we will work to build this note into our quarterly communication plan and get you the sort of candid overview of our company progress you have come to expect from me. Bold Goals When I took on the CEO role here at Venzee late in 2019, I set ambitious retail “connection” targets. Now known as our Mesh Connector™ sales goals, we aimed at proving out our tech functionality with a few, heavily discounted connections in 2020. We set far more ambitious revenue goals for 2021 and 2022. To achieve our bold goals, this year we built out our sales team and, under top-producing sales veteran Joel Carstedt, in Q3 we moved several large, front-loaded revenue contracts to the final sales stage. On October 21, we announced our first significant contracted revenue win. That’s right, our FIRST significant contracted revenue win. Previously, we had announced several “partner” deals. Those deals did not front revenue and often highlighted partners to competitors and private equity players who acquired several of our partners - stalling or killing the revenue opportunity we anticipated. Today, with multiple large contracts in the final sales stage, winning these deals would result in combined sales revenue far in excess of our published goals for 2022. That’s not a typo. Revenue in EXCESS of our 2022 monthly recurring revenue goals while, of course, achieving our revenue goals for this year. I can’t guarantee that we will win all of these large contract-based deals, but each potential client is already deeply engaged with our sales, operations, and technical teams. And, because our teams are talented and our tech is superior, we are in an advantaged position to win these important contracts. Supply Chain Chaos A few years ago, if you had asked a brand or a retailer if their product data - the digital content that enables a purchase - was in good shape, they would laugh. Zero brands or retailers have good product data. With tremendous human effort, brands and retailers find ways to organize and share product content sufficient enough to enable a sale. But it isn’t easy. It isn’t cheap. It isn’t durable. The global pandemic demonstrates the fragility and poor organization of product information across the global retail supply chain. There won’t be one big fix for all of the supply chain’s problems. However, more efficient technologies will displace current processes. The future of the retail supply chain will be - must be - far more resilient and far less dependent on humans. Venzee allows brands and retailers to be less dependent on human labor. Venzee’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) - now fully deployed and operational - is a part of how brands, retailers, and their supply chains will become more efficient and more resilient. Venzee’s AI tech provides brands and retailers an opportunity for serious cost reduction. Our platform allows brands and retailers to improve margin through elimination of manual processes. We enable brands to rapidly grow sales channels. And, we automate the processes brands and retailers need to move products to market with more speed and less labor. With our product now active in the market, we have observed and proven these supply chain efficiencies provide our brand and retailer customers with tremendous advantage in the market. What is “tremendous advantage” - using our AI tech, our platform now demonstrates an 80% labor savings advantage over legacy solutions. 80%. That is profound. Industries have been massively disrupted by innovative companies that are slightly more efficient. Uber, Venmo, and Amazon were slightly more efficient than companies they displaced from their markets. None were 80% more efficient. None. That our sales contracts and engagements today are with the top tier of brands and retailers is no fluke - it is testament to our leading technical position based on our proven AI platform advantage. It has taken hard work by talented people to put us in the strong position we are in. Our ability to execute will unlock the potential of our important platform to transform this market and dominate our competitors.
