Are “teapot” refineries the answer for Namibia and Recaf! Per that recent post about Recaf allegedly being involved in talks with Goldman about building up Namibia's oil industry infrastructure, and also previous news reports about building a refinery in Namibia, I got to thinking.
Now the Saudis, and their Texans, have gotten very swift at building, running, and repairing oil refineries as witnessed as to how fast one of their major refineries was rebuilt and operational after being severely bombed by the Hootoos; they did it in less than a month even though estimates called for several months.
Now in China they have many of these smaller quickly built oil refineries referred to as "teapot" refineries.
Now if the Namibians, Recaf, and Goldman, etc. could go this route and build a refinery near the oil it would greatly solve the problem of having to build a pipeline, beef up the rail road, etc. to transport the oil to and from refineries. Not only would it reduce time and costs but also fill the huge need for energy in neighboring Botswana and South Africa.
