Canada's stature as a "best" place to live

Canada's stature as a "best" place to live

The World's Best Countries For Quality of Life, 2021

Anyone that has given any thought to the cost/benefit analysis of going green understands that the planet needs to take care of itself.  They also understand the incredible cost of doing so if the process isn't well thought out and executed.

A world rapidly forced to run on alternative energy would plunge economies into the economic dark ages.  The massive inefficiencies and astounding cost of the existing alternative energy sources would mean Less as in Far Less for everyone.  When the public begins to feel the pinch (it has already started in countries that are not self-sufficient in hydrocarbon based energy) created by an ill-planned transition to renewables, the politicians will feel the wrath.  The real question is who will be there to pick up the pieces.

Trudeau's move to inserti an eco-terrorist into a position of power is the most blatant example of a Canadian Prime Minister being bought that I have ever seen.  This time, it is by the real leaders rather than the payoffs for political favours we have seen in the past.  It makes Mulroney's under the table $5 million payoff for the Airbus order look like peanuts.  I know the public artciles only talk about $300,000 but I know with 100% certainty that Mulroney was shopping around trying to find a safe home for $5 million at the time.  While that is despicable, it pales in comparison to the $500 million that Justin's Daddy stashed away.

Trudeau has bought in "hook line and sinker" into an agenda that will inevitably see Canada plunge into an economic abyss as debt becomes meaningless.  Our economic system is based upon debt, which is really just a promise to repay based on asset coverage supported by an income stream to carry the interest.  When the public finally realizes that debt is meaningless because of the inability to ever repay the debt, look out!

If the entire world plunges into an economic spiral that will see LESS for everyone, perhaps Canada, with all of its fresh water and natural resources, will regain its status as a best place to live.  Right now the trend is the other way and it is going to get worse until Canadians wake up and realize that the world is going to need hydrocarbons for a long time and Canada is a world leader in the space.

When the AOC's and Guilbeaut's of the world calling the shots, we better start preparing for LESS, sooner than later.
