Globe says Lithium Americas seen commanding a premium

The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Oct. 27, edition that iA Capital Markets analyst Puneet Singh, in response to a "frenetic run" in lithium prices thus far this year, raised his share target for Lithium Americas to $42 with a "speculative buy" ranking. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $31.63. Mr. Singh says, "With so many catalysts ahead combined with the way lithium prices have brought funds flow to the sub-sector, we think Lithium Americas will command a premium as it heads into production next year." The Globe's guest columnist Michael Pe said in the Number Cruncher column on Jan. 19 that Lithium Americas was showing strong price momentum. The shares could then be had for $30.90. The Globe's David Milstead reported on March 16 that Lithium Americas was being added to the to S&P/TSX Composite Index. Mr. Milstead said stocks being added to an index can see a price bump before and even after inclusion. Lithium America's shares could then be had for $21.67. The Globe reported on Sept. 8 that Mr. Singh was maintaining Lithium Americas at "outperform." The shares were then worth $28.10.
