RE:RE:New from JP Strategic Investments FYI:
Hate me for sharing this perspective and put me on ignore... but here what every INVESTMENT BANK or PRIVATE COMPANY looking to invest should consider.
#1: PAT need a boat load of signed orders to raise that kind of coin - $25m-50m Shelf - now that they've move to "commercialization" and no longer a speculative stock. I know many here believe PAT is still a "speculative stock", but it isn't. Especially on TSX, and not on TSX Venture.
#2. If I were an investment banker, I'd wait to see how Q1 performed...based on drop of $1m from FY2021 (Rev: $2.1M during Covid19 shutdown) to FY2022 (Rev: $1.1M during Covid19 recovery) . I'd wait 60 days for December 30 announcement - before dropping money in. 3 weeks of which are holidays (21days) and retail investors stock loss sell off... so I'd bet on PAT stock dropping, so i could ink more equity out with an investment for my bank's clients.
#3: As stated, Q2 (Nov - Jan) is often a slow period (3weeks of holidays/ 21 days), and due to pandemic losses, "spend it or lose it" budgets won't really apply to venues and spaces that lost mega $ millions these past 18 - 20 months of shutdowns - arenas, stadiums, conference centers. They don't have a spend it or lose it, because they don't have cash.
#4. Any investment bank should first see how sales were achieved Q1, and the stack of orders pending for Q2 & Q3. Is PAT collecting the $340k unrealized revenue as promised for FY2021 report? [ Remember these numbers--- PATSCAN platform revenue $113k FY2021, Unrealized contracts $1.24m, of which $340k in by FY2022, and $900k in the following 2 years (FY2023 & FY2024) ]. Lots of pilots and trials happening and discussed in CEO letters, newsletters and videos.. How are these trials and pilots converting? Is that $340k growing by 2x, 3x, 5x for FY2022?
All in all, I'd take the calculated risk of a significant stock price drop over a slight pop, and then decide how much my bank would invest.
Ask yourself this... where is Canaccord? They helped raise a big portion of the initial raises? PAT's stock is at an all time low... why aren't they jumping in yet? When's the Annual Shareholder Meeting? Mid November? What will shareholders vote?
My bet is everyone's waiting on Q1 results... no need to rush an investment during the holiday season and as concerns grow with more Covid 19 shutdowns and revenue impacts in Canada, US and Globally. We're headed into what many scientific and medical experts think will be a worse winter of flu and Covid sickness... so why rush an already risky investment until you see Q1 results.
UNLESS.... you can control Q1 & Q2 Results ... because your not just the investor, but a buyer too. Yes... Thinking about Oak View Group... lol
But then again, why not let it drop, get shares on the cheap and then start ramping up deployments in yourvglobal venues and drive sales starting in mid January...and really watch your investment grow.
