RE:Today

RE:TodayI would be taking this article by The Conversation, and any other article from it, with a serious grain of salt.

Although I am all for Indigenous causes and rights, this online newsletter, and this article in particular, appears to throw every side out the window, except for the Indigenous side.

It uses terms and phrases like road to nowhere, predatory and colonial mining exploration funding,  and denial of Indigenous jurisdiction.
It also claims dubious economic prospects for the Ring of Fire, and characterizes government subsidies and flow throw financing and corresponding tax credits in the pursuit of activity in the Ring of Fire as evil, without actually using the term evil.

Be wary and cautious of one-sided puported jounalism and anyone who seeks to help spread it. All of the so-called facts and characterizations in this story can just as easily be defended and refuted by the former Ontario Wynne/McGuinty government, and current Ford government, along with Noront and stakeholders who helped finance such exploration to date.
