If they do an NCIB, they can only buy 10% of the outstanding shares which would be approximately 25 million shares.  To do 100 million shares they would have to do an SIB and quite honestly, I don't think they have the money for an SIB that would buy back 100 million shares. 

I'll go on record saying that there will be an NCIB talked about and they will say that the cap budget will be released in December which is when we will see if they are going to go for growth.

Of course another option is stockpiling the cash and taking one of the private players out. 

Not a bad problem for Gear to have.  No debt and a nice sum of cash that needs a place or places to go.
