The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

So base on your comments, what is your split if Baytex for example, makes 500M$ in FCF in 2022 ??

How much money or % do you use to debt payment, share buyback and a dividend  ?

For me the dividend, will change the view that market have about Baytex and may offer share price stability... but after review i propose the following :

500M$ of FCF 

300M$ for debt payment
150M$ to buyback shares very quickly around 5$ per share
  50M$ for a dividend of 3,75 cents per share per quarter starting in Q3 2022

Base on my 1st forecast, Baytex will still have over 80M$ of cash to spend on Clearwater for example !!!


Imagine if Baytex made 700M$ in FCF in 2022, they could fully repay 2nd long term debt of 500M$  in 2022 !!!  UNBELEIVABLE !!

For the fun of it, what is your split !?
