Alberta Government Telephones adopted the name Telus in October 1990, after the province decided to sell shares in the Crown corporation to the public.
 
The initial public offering featured 75 million shares at $12A year later the government sold its remaining 54 million shares at $15.

With the TWO Share SPLITS Since 1990__Those $12 and $15 Shares I would HAVE a COST BASE
of  ONLY $3 and $3.75__ but never bought any, Took a DECADE For Me To think aBouT buying In!!!
