Potential impact

Just did some light investigation.
2.6M hectares equals roughly 10000 sq miles. Go onto Google maps and trace out a square 100x100 miles over Vancouver Island. Not that only the island would be impacted of course but it will show you the scale implied.
For those KM minded 26000 sq K.
Google search the area of Vancouver Island.
