Good entry position?

Good entry position?I was in BP years ago and enjoyed the dividend and thought I would hold it forever. Alas, never get too fond of a stock as it will only  break your heart. That said, and aware of some of the strong feelings here about the company and management, I am becoming pursuaded that their entry into alternative energy will assure them a place at the table of energy companies for the 21st century. Whether this will be achieved in what time I have left on this earth is the deciding factor. The dividend at the present price is very tempting and I think sustainable. What says the board?
