RE:RE:RE:RE:Tweed or Hexo
Only closing 3 facilities. Get yourself a big beach towel to wipe the egg off your face. You guys are always good for a laugh. Hexo caught you with your pants down....lmao.
HEXO made the decision to decommission the:
Kirkland Lake, Ontario facility, which was acquired through the 48North acquisition, effective on January 31, 2022.
48N was purchasd under duress for their product line - HEXO got great value when considering sales vs purchase price - THEY did not buy for Kirkland Lake grow facilities - But I am a little surprised they are relocating it. Though hydro is cheaper in QC.
Brantford, Ontario facility, which was acquired through the 48North acquisition, effective on January 31, 2022.
This is a research facility - it is redundant (They do their research in Belleville)
Stellarton, Nova Scotia facility, which was acquired through the Zenabis acquisition, effective February 28, 2022
This facility is out on the far east coast and redundant. They did not buy Zenabis for Stellarton. Zenabis' jewel if you will is in NB.
If you think a company that goes on an acquistion binge will leave everything open and running as is you should apply for Tweed. BTW Tweed is closing their facilities because they can not grow consistent quality product. Not because they are integrating acquisitions. They CGC are relying on the third party market. I will be concerned regarding HEXO and their facilities when they start going to the third party market....
