RE:Past 30 days Whitecap down 4% & oil still in $80 range

Hey Barney
I know it's really bizarre that it's come of 8 dollars as much as it has ?    None of it makes sense ?  I mean slightly lower volume , lower share price ?   Oil above 80 and fundamentals looking good.

It makes you wonder doest it ?  More about curiosity  to maybe learn something ?

You know didn't Eric mention something about Whitecap doing a small aquisition ?   Any thoughts on who it could be ?   I actually don't think this affects share price ? It was mentioned it might , and maybe that's the case ?

I think what has me perplexed most is we have thr
best or one of the best balance Sheets ! For example I own Cardinal as well and have done well , but they aren't doing any dividends until mid 2022 when they get to 100 M in debt.   We have a dividend , we have a boss saying it's likely going up , and there could be special cash disbursements , and the price is lagging its peers ?

I went overweight whitecap in this sector because of the balance sheet , ability to make money at 45 dollar oil , and MOSTLY what tipped the scales was CARBON SEQUESTERING .

So maybe Friday is the day but I can't believe knowing we are in what is a  "STRUCTURAL ENERGY SUPER CYCLE " that some larger or a few smaller funds aren't either taking a postion , or adding to there position .
I am not trying to hype anything when I say how the
frick is it one of these funds isn't jumping in here and grabbing all they can .  They start a daily strong buy in taking the price to 10 plus.  When there done taking a
larger Position there average is 9 bucks let's say.

Given the Carbon angle , the balance sheet , and the fact this is becoming with the next divvy increase a super awesome " INCOME GENERATOR " for the person looking for income along with capital appreciation!!

At these levels this to me if I am a fund manager this is the play.    At 10 and above its not to late. However this is a gift and it can't be anything but a matter of time before a large fund take a position running this to 10 plus , once again giving them and average probably under 9 bucks

It's not IF it WHEN the trigger is pulled.

Finally , WHITECAP could also probably do the exact same thing , giving us the same effect.

Am I out to lunch ?  If I am I can take it ?

This is just to cheap to go unoticed ? RIGHT ?

so just a matter of when.

good luck all
Craig
