Jody Wilson-Raybould wasn't forced to resign she was shuffled to Veterans Affairs and then expelled from caucus. She sat as an independant and even won another term as such and then never ran again, (Her choice).

In Canada, it is a political suicide. Just remember the former Attorney General/ Minister of Justice, who disagreed with the PM of the minority government of the day, on proceeding a criminal investigation.
She was forced to resign, as we all know.
