Because there is no pipline to deliver Candian oils to a port in western Canada to transpost
our oil to the far east buyers byoil tankers. As a result we are selling it to the US at a 20% discount, instead of world oil price.
The "stated" reason is to protect the environment.
At the same time, transporting oil by trains is accepable,
regardless Mississagua, or the Quebec disasters, by the "Guardians of Canadian citizens and the fragile environment" by the dimwits in Ottawa.
